Hutch is generally known to the house which is used for the domesticated animals. It is generally made up of plywood and wire. Planks of wood are used for propping the hutch off the ground.  Now the question is how to build a rabbit hutch so that the rabbit can get a dependable shelter along with good ventilation. You have top build a rabbit hutch in such a way that new bunnies can born in the hutch.

The things which are needed in order to make a rabbit hutch are as follows:-

• Wire rabbit cage (or wire and wire cutter)
• Metal ties
• Nails
• Plywood
• Hammer
• Rubber gloves
• 2 by 4s
• Saw

Now we will discuss how to make a rabbit hutch in the following steps:-

1. Step 1

First of all you have to buy plywood and lumber and if any layout of the rabbit hutch is present then buy it also.

1. Step 2

Now you have to manage a readymade wire cage which is made for the rabbit. It is normally available in any pet shop. If you buy this type of wire cage then you don't have the head ache for designing a new wire cage of your own because it may hurt you during the making process. Make 4 legs out of the plywood. They should be square in shape. Now in a straight line enfold the wire around the legs. Wrap the wires in such a way that between each lines of wire there must be a space of about one inch. Now tie the wires cosily and cut the remaining wire by an wire cutter.

1. Step 3

Now construct a frame for support around the wire cage by using 2 by 4s. This will make a good shed for the rabbit hutch.

1. Step 4

Now use for 2 by 4s for making the legs of the rabbit hutch. The length should be about 3 feet in length. By making these legs maintaining and cleaning the rabbit hutch is now much easier.

1. Step 5

Now hammer the legs into the ground in the place where you want to keep your rabbit hutch.

1. Step 6

Now add a block of plywood for making the roof of the rabbit hutch. It is better to make a sliding roof so that nothing can precipitate upon the roof.

1. Step 7

Now the last step is to add different accessories as you like. For collecting rabbit faeces is a better accessory among all other. Now cover the hutch with a clear plastic cover so that it doesn't get easily affected by dust or pollution.

Tips and Warnings:-

• Don't use an enclosed wooden rabbit hutch as it will damage the rabbit's health. So wire cage prefers most.
• Use a rubber gloves while building or doing any kind of work with the wires. Loose ends of the wires may cause serious injury.
