If somebody has rabbits in the house then the first thing to learn is rabbit litter training. However, the process of training is quite simple because the rabbits have tends to go to the corner of the rabbit hutch for toilet and stick to it.

Therefore, the steps for Rabbit Litter training are as follows:-

  1. A single rabbit is evidently less hostile and easier to train because it is deficient to mate and therefore mark its territory.
  2. Let the rabbit to go outside the cage and watch the rabbit carefully. If it appears that the rabbit is going to the toilet then quickly put the rabbit back into the cage. Nevertheless, do not get late because doing so the rabbit will put mess all over the places. You do not know that when the rabbit is going to the toilet so do not lock the cage forever.
  3. Now watch that whether the rabbit is doing the toilet within the cage or not. This is just to teach the rabbit. You just keep watching on the rabbit and keep it into the cage just before it does the toilet.
  4. For the litter train you have to get several litter boxes, which should filled, with a rabbit safe product. For rabbit, litter items like paper-based litter are preferred most. Accelerant free wood stove chips can also used. Before placing the litter box just watch the rabbit in which position it does the litter. If you can noticed the favourite place of your rabbit then put the litter box in that place. This is the easiest process to convey the message of littering to the rabbit.
  5. Cat litter is not safe for the Rabbit. Newspaper can also used, as the ink is toxic to the rabbits if they try to eat them.
  6. Put more than one litter boxes in the cage so that when the rabbit use one of them you can easily take another out for cleaning purpose.
  7. While eating a rabbit naturally eradicate. So put the food in the litter box in order to make a good habit.
  8. If you find that, the rabbit is doing the litter outside the litter box then just startle the rabbit towards the litter box. Do not try to reprimand your rabbit after the litter. Do not pick up the rabbit by your won to the litter box. Make it sure that the rabbit itself finds its way to the litter box.
  9. Use white vinegar for cleaning the rabbit litter. You can also clean the rabbit litter boxes using this white vinegar. Remove the smell of the rabbit litter so that the smell cannot affect the rabbit.

10.  Clean the rabbit litter once in a day and the litter box once in a week.

11.  Once the rabbit starts using the rabbit litter, you can change the position of the litter boxes. You can also change the number of rabbit litter boxes if your rabbit is habituated using the rabbit litter box.
